Namaste,
So wonderful to have you here. My name is Tamara van Well
Yoga used to be a tool for me to cope with challenging situations. A tool to keep going.
The 'stay positive high vibes' and 'smiling through the discomfort' became a covering over.
It saved me for the longest time, even though it also cut me off from life, I felt numbed many times. No tears, only smiles, and from the inside it felt empty. I was avoiding to feel through.
Until I attended a silence retreat, where I experienced to lean in with whatever is. I sensed a deep trust coming over me, 'what if what is, is just right'
Yoga as a tool changed in yoga as a way of life. It is more and more integrated in my way of living in all honesty, including all aspects of life.
It is a fine line. The smile of covering over became a smile of holding space for whatever flows through; the dark, the light, and everything in between. This is what it means to live fully! ♡

My mission
I am not going to hold your hand
Nor am I going to guide you from point A to B
I am here to hold space for your beingness
I am here to walk alongside with you
As Ram Dass so beautifully said, 'Walking each other home'
Exploring different paths together to integrate yoga as a way of life, for you to take ownership to live a more balanced and fulfilled life that is in alignment with your purest essence.
From suffering
Yoga is the journey of uncovering the known (which gives a false sense of safety, and limits us). Uncovering all the layers of who we always thought ourselves to be: roles we play, stories we tell ourselves, identifications we labeled ourselves with, patterns, beliefs.
to freedom
Shining the light of awareness upon the ideas of who we think we are and having the courage to peel off those layers, 'what's left?'. Who are we really? The remembrance of our truest and purest essence, lets us experience the ultimate freedom. Are you ready to explore the fields of the unknown with me?
Tamara van Well has a background in the youth care (Social Work & Therapy Bachelor degree), she has worked over 10 years together with children with special needs (trauma, autism, ADHD etc) and their parents. Coaching & training to support awareness in their present skills, to empower their development, growing and blooming into their full potential.
After traveling through Tibet, which felt like a coming home for her, Tamara integrated her study as a Mindful Teacher (Academy for Mindful Teaching) and Holistic Children Yoga Teacher (Arterre Holistic Kidsyoga) into her work in the youth care.
The urge to share the value of yoga deepened after experiencing a burn-out (because of enthusiasm, taking to many projects upon her shoulders). The body was very clear ‘And now you take rest’. The study of the Yoga Philosophy brought balance in her way of viewing life.
Now for over 10 years Tamara is sharing her love for yoga on the mat and of the mat. Her mission is to bring awareness in how we can integrate yoga as a way of life, bringing yoga philosophy into practice in life itself.
